The mission of the CSOA is to provide college and university swimming programs with the highest level of expertise in officiating to meet and exceed the expectations of both coaches and swimmers. Ultimately, our role is to provide swimmers the greatest opportunity to succeed in the sport.

Did you know that the CSOA was established by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) more than two decades ago? The CSOA was created so that NCAA-specific swimming and diving rules could be applied by a group of dedicated collegiate officials who were well-versed in the differences between collegiate rules and rules of other swimming organizations (USA Swimming, FINA, etc.) and could apply them accurately & appropriately in the collegiate setting. The establishment of the CSOA has worked tirelessly to give credence to the “college way” of judging swimming.
