Virginia Women and Texas Men Top Final Dual Meet Polls

The Virginia Women and Texas Men finish the year on top of our Dual Meet Polls

March 6, 2025 - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has published the March edition of the Division I Top 25 Dual Meet Poll, with the University of Virginia women and the Texas men finishing the year on top.

The committee, consisting of Division I coaches, evaluates and ranks the nation's top 25 dual meet teams. Their assessment considers head-to-head dual meet outcomes, recent performances since the last rankings, season-long results, dual meet records, roster changes (such as injuries), and data from the SwimCloud Simulator. It's important to note that the poll's objective is not to predict the top finishers in a championship meet format.

Texas (375) closed out the year at the top of the men's poll, once again securing every first-place vote. Indiana (351) and Cal (350) maintained their positions in the top three. Florida (327) edged out Arizona State (322) for the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. Texas A&M and Minnesota each moved up three spots, finishing at 14 and 21. A total of 29 teams from five conferences received votes to conclude the year.

The Virginia Cavaliers (425) finished the year as the unanimous top team in our women's poll. Texas (408) and Stanford (386) maintained their positions in the top three, while Tennessee (373) and Florida (356) rounded out the top five. Ohio State made the biggest jump, rising from 14 to 11, while Princeton was the only program to break into the top 25 from outside last month's poll. In total, 26 teams from five conferences received votes in the final poll of the year.

Dual meet records are sourced from each institution's website.

Each committee consists of twelve representatives from Power Four leagues and at-large programs. The committee chairs for women and men are Naya Higashijima (NMU) and Bill Roberts (Navy), respectively.
