Virginia Women and Texas Men Tops in Division I Rankings

The Virginia Women and Texas Men unanimous atop February Polls

February 6, 2025 - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has published the February edition of the Division I Top 25 Dual Meet Poll, with the University of Virginia women and the Texas men holding steady at the top of this month's poll.

The committee, consisting of Division I coaches, evaluates and ranks the nation's top 25 dual meet teams. Their assessment considers head-to-head dual meet outcomes, recent performances since the last rankings, season-long results, dual meet records, roster changes (such as injuries), and data from the SwimCloud Simulator. It's important to note that the poll's objective is not to predict the top finishers in a championship meet format.

Texas (400) maintains a strong hold on the top spot in our Men's Division I poll, earning every first-place vote. Rankings two through four remain unchanged, with Indiana (373), Cal (372), and Arizona State (359) holding their positions. NC State (325) has moved into a tie with Florida (325) to round out the top five. Florida State (136) climbed three spots to 18, while LSU and Minnesota reentered the top 25 after being unranked in last month's poll. A total of 30 teams received votes this month.

In the Women's Division I poll, the Virginia Cavaliers (425) secured the top ranking with every first-place vote. Texas (408) and Stanford (391) maintained their positions at second and third, while Tennessee (370) and Florida (348) swapped places within the top five. While there was little movement within the top 25, the narrow margin between Indiana (312) at seven and Ohio State (212) at 14 highlights the tight competition among mid-ranked teams, setting the stage for an exciting conference championship season.

Dual meet records are sourced from each institution's website.

Each committee consists of twelve representatives from Power Four leagues and at-large programs. The committee chairs for women and men are Naya Higashijima (NMU) and Bill Roberts (Navy), respectively.
