CSCAA Announces Four-Part Coaching Series: Empowering Coaches for Success
March 5, 2025 - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), in collaboration with the Women’s Advisory Committee, is proud to introduce Ignite! 4 R’s for Coaching Success—a dynamic, four-part virtual coaching series designed to equip coaching professionals at all career stages with valuable insights, strategies, and resources. Sponsored by Speedo, each Zoom session will feature interactive discussions with peers and industry experts, providing actionable takeaways to help participants elevate their personal growth, enhance team performance, and contribute to the advancement of the sport.

“The CSCAA’s Four-Part Coaching Series is a unique opportunity for coaches to learn from one another and grow together,” said Milana Socha, Head Coach at Dartmouth and one of the chairs of the Women’s Advisory Committee for the CSCAA. “This series addresses critical topics that impact all of us in the profession and provides the tools to not only strengthen our coaching, but also to create lasting, positive change for the sport and the athletes we serve.”
The series, themed around what the committee is calling the “Four R’s: 1) Recruiting coaches, 2) Retention of coaches, 3) Regenerating the why or how you approach coaching and 4) Realizing success in your coaching career. Each session will explore a variety of topics crucial to coaching success. Sessions are scheduled for the following dates and times with an in-person gathering at the Annual Meetings in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Session 1: Recruiting Coaches & Your Coaching Network
Date: Tuesday, April 15th, 12:00 PM ET

Learn what you need to know in your first 1-3 years of coaching, the qualities and skills needed to grow in the profession, and how to build a strong coaching support network.
Session 2: Retaining Coaches
Date: Tuesday, May 20th, 12:00 PM ET
Discover strategies for achieving work-life balance, whether you’re managing family, navigating single life, or simply striving to find personal fulfillment.
Session 3: Regenerating Your Why and How
Date: Tuesday, June 10th, 12:00 PM ET
Hear inspiring stories from coaches with non-traditional career paths who redefined their “why” and “how” and found renewed purpose in their coaching journey.
Session 4: Realizing Success
Date: Tuesday, July 8th, 12:00 PM ET
Explore diverse perspectives on success, from veteran coaches with decades of experience to professionals dedicated to supporting the coaching community. This session will also wrap up the series by encouraging participation in the CSCAA’s Mentoring Program.
