Emory Leads Both Division III November Polls

Emory sits atop both the Men’s and Women’s Polls

November 15, 2024 - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has released the November edition of the Division III Top 25 dual meet poll. Emory University claims the top spot in both polls.

The committee, consisting of Division III coaches, assesses and ranks the nation's top 25 dual meet teams. Their evaluation takes into account head-to-head dual meet outcomes, performances since the last rankings, season-long performances, dual meet records, roster changes (such as injuries), and data from the SwimCloud Simulator. It's important to note that the poll's objective is not to predict the top finishers in a championship meet format.

The Emory Eagles (425) topped the men's poll for the second consecutive month to kick off the year. Chicago (408) held steady at number two, while Denison (384) climbed five spots to enter the top three. NYU (380) came in fourth, and Calvin (358) made a notable leap from eleventh to round out the top five. Other major movers include Pomona-Pitzer, up six spots to ninth, with Case Western and SUNY Geneseo each rising four spots to 12th and 18th, respectively. This month's poll saw votes cast for a total of twenty-eight teams.

In the women's poll, Emory (399) and Kenyon (380) swapped places but retained the top two spots. MIT (372) moved up into third, while NYU (348) and Denison (338) complete the top five. WashU (241) made the biggest leap, climbing five spots to 11th, while Rhodes (72) rose three spots to 21st. Washington and Lee also made their season debut in the top 25. Overall, twenty-seven teams received votes this month.

*Dual meet records are sourced from each institution's website.
