McKedree Men and Grand Valley State Women atop November Poll

November 15, 2024 -  The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has released the November edition of the Division II Top 25 dual meet poll, with the McKendree men and Grand Valley State women claiming the top spots.

The committee, made up of Division II coaches, evaluates and ranks the nation's top 25 dual meet teams based on several factors. These include head-to-head dual meet results, performances since the last rankings, season-long achievements, dual meet records, roster changes (such as injuries), and data from the SwimCloud Simulator. It's important to note that the poll is not intended to predict top finishers in a championship meet format.

The McKendree University men (290) moved up two spots to claim the top position in the November poll. Tampa (279) and Drury (279) tied for second, while Indianapolis (278) narrowly missed creating a three-way tie, coming in fourth. Grand Valley (254) rounds out the top five. The biggest mover in either poll was Catawba (178), jumping 15 spots into the top 10. Saint Cloud (203) climbed six spots to eighth, while Ouachita Baptist (109) moved up four spots to 16th. Rollins (80) and Florida Tech made their first appearances in the top 25, at 18th and 25th, respectively. Twenty-nine teams received votes in this month's poll.

In the women's poll, Grand Valley State (244) claimed the top spot, with Indianapolis (235) and Drury (230) rounding out the top three. Nova Southeastern (219) and Tampa (215) came in at fourth and fifth, respectively. Catawba (121) made the biggest leap, moving up eight spots to 13th, while Azusa Pacific (103) rose seven spots to 15th, and Findlay (131) climbed five spots to 12th. Saint Cloud State (51), UNC-Pembroke (33), and Ouachita Baptist (17) made their top 25 debuts at 21st, 23rd, and 25th, respectively. Thirty-one teams received votes in this month's poll.
