The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America's (CSCAA) announced the candidates for its centennial list of 100 Greatest Swimmers & Divers. Nine hundred and fifty-three (962) candidates, dating back more than 100 years were selected from 2,805 nominees. They will now go to a Blue Ribbon Panel of voters who will be charged with narrowing the selections to one hundred men and one hundred women.

Fifty-six voters make up the blue ribbon panel with another fourteen expected to be added. The panel is comprised of influential figures from across college swimming and diving including current and former coaches, past athletes, and members of the media.
